Arrest for alleged murder in North Patchogue, Suffolk Police announce

NORTH PATCHOGUE, NY ( / — Suffolk County Police, assisted by the US Marshals and the NYPD Warrant Squad, arrested a Manhattan man Thursday morning for allegedly killing a man in North Patchogue in 2018, police announced.

According to police, homicide detectives charged Ade Ngaii, 37, of 41 Convent Ave., Apt. 6A, with Murder 2nd Degree. Ngaii is scheduled to be arraigned at County Court on Thursday.

Police said the alleged murder happened on Nov. 2, 2018, at 45 Sinn Street in North Patchogue. According to police at the time, Fifth Precinct officers responded to the home at approximately 1:40 p.m. after a resident called 911, reporting that a man was injured and unconscious. When police arrived, they found Kristopher Appel, 30, deceased.
