Lidl supermarket opens in Oakdale

OAKDALE, NY ( / — Best Market in Oakdale has transformed into the second Lidl supermarket near the Sachem area. The company's newest location opened on Wednesday at 4560 Sunrise Highway in Oakdale.

The Oakdale market joins a nearby Lidl at 655 Montauk Highway in East Patchogue, which opened in August. German-based Lidl bought the Best Market chain in January 2020, and plans to convert the stores to the Lidl brand and expand across Long Island over the next 2-3 years. The Oakdale Lidl marks the company’s eighth location on Long Island.
