Man, 20, arrested for allegedly shooting Coram teen

CORAM, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com) — Suffolk County Police have arrested a Port Jefferson Station man for allegedly shooting a teenager in Coram last Friday night.

On Tuesday morning, police announced they have arrested Mark Miller, 20, of 530 Bicycle Path in Port Jefferson Station and charged him with Assault 1st Degree for the alleged shooting.

According to Sixth Squad detectives based in Selden, a 19-year-old man was standing in front of 101 Aycock Place at 10:10 p.m. Friday when he was shot in his side. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Miller is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday.
