Suffolk Police issue 'Silver Alert' for Susan Garramone of Medford

MEDFORD, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com) — Suffolk County Police issued a Silver Alert mid-afternoon Friday for a missing Medford woman.

According to police, the missing woman suffers from Schizophrenia and may be in need of medical attention. 

Susan Garramone, 39, of 16 Bellport Lane, was last seen at her residence earlier this week on Monday, Sept. 14. Garramone is white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, approximately 130 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. 

Garramone left her home in a green 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was later located in Brooklyn, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on Garramone’s location to call 911 or the Sixth Squad in Selden at 631-854-8652. 

Today's Silver Alert isn't the first time police issued an alert for when Garramone was reported missing. Police issued an alert for Garramone in November 2017 whe she lived in Mastic Beach, according to a Newsday article at the time

Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
