CENTEREACH, NY AND PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY ( / — Suffolk County Police today announced the arrest of two teenagers allegedly involved in an altercation outside a Port Jefferson Station gym last week.

Members of CrossFit DHP, located at 650 Route 112, were participating in an outdoor fitness class on July 23 at about 5:30 p.m. when a group of teenagers on bicycles began harassing them, police said.

Sixth Precinct police officers were called and broke up the dispute, however, the teens returned at approximately 6:15 p.m. and continued harassing the patrons, according to police.

Following an investigation, Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers today arrested two males, both 15 years old, of Centereach, for alleged involved in the incident.

One of the teens was charged with Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree for allegedly throwing a barbell at a gym member, and the other was charged with Menacing 2nd Degree for allegedly swinging a bicycle seat at another gym member, police said.

The teens were issued Desk Appearance Tickets and scheduled for arraignment at Suffolk County Family Court in Central Islip on August 14.

Shortly after the incident, gym owner and Coach Ryder Champouillon and his wife, Assistant Coach Jenny Juniper, shared a video about what happened.
