March 26 Brookhaven Town Board meeting to broadcast online and cable TV instead of in-person attendance

FARMINGVILLE, NY ( / — The Town of Brookhaven announced the Town Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 26, will be broadcast online and cable television instead of open for public attendance.

The change is an effort to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, according to the town's announcement released today.

The 2 p.m. meeting will be available for viewing by live stream on the town's website at and broadcast live on Optimum Government Access Channel 18. The Town Board will be off-site using ZOOM video conferencing.

The public comments portion of this meeting will not be conducted and residents should email comments to, the town added. All public hearings have been adjourned to a date which will be determined in the future.
