The management team of the Calverton water park made the announcement this afternoon on its Facebook page, citing “continued uncertainty surrounding the pandemic in New York.”
Splish Splash would have celebrated its 30th anniversary this season.
“We will not do anything to jeopardize the health and safety of our community, and we strongly believe that the best path forward is looking ahead to a full 2021 Season,” park management wrote.
Splish Splash is a 96-acre water park with over 20 water slides, two wave pools, a kiddie area, a lazy river, tropical bird show, food venues including Johnny Rockets, gift shops, and a catered picnic area for group picnics and family reunions.
Park management said Splish Splash will reopen in May 2021.

To Our Valued Guests
Splish Splash is saddened to announce that after 29 seasons in operation we will be canceling our 2020 Season, which would have been our 30th Anniversary. Our announcement comes as a result of the continued uncertainty surrounding the pandemic in New York. This is an unfortunate situation, and we know so many of you share our disappointment. We will not do anything to jeopardize the health and safety of our community, and we strongly believe that the best path forward is looking ahead to a full 2021 Season.
We cannot thank you enough for all of the support, and cannot wait until May 2021, when we can safely invite you back, so you and your family can create new and memorable experiences during our 30th anniversary celebrations.
As previously mentioned, all 2020 season passes have been automatically extended to include the 2021 season. All 2020 admission tickets (including 2019 rain checks), will be valid in 2021 at no additional cost. In addition, all 2020 season passes will be upgraded to receive greater benefits in 2021.
Until we see you again, please stay safe and continue to support each other.
