'Early Voting' Ends Today, Nov. 3

ACROSS SACHEM, NY — Sunday, Nov. 3, is the last day of "early voting" in New York State for the 2019 general election.

The polls are open Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Early voting began Saturday, Oct. 26. After early voting ends Nov. 3 at 3 p.m., the polls reopen for Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The New York State Legislature and Governor Andrew Cuomo approved early voting earlier this year, making the 2019 general election the first year ever for early voting in New York State.

Any registered voter in Suffolk County may vote at any of the following locations. Covering the three townships in Sachem, the early voting locations are:

Town of Brookhaven

Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville

Town of Islip

Islip Town Hall Annex, 401 Main Street, Islip

Town of Smithtown

Nesconset Elementary School, 29 Gibbs Pond Rd, Nesconset
