Man arrested for stabbing outside Farmingville restaurant: Suffolk Police

FARMINGVILLE, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com) — Suffolk County Police arrested a Port Jefferson Station man for allegedly stabbing a man outside a Farmingville restaurant Friday evening.

Police said the alleged stabbing happened at about 5:40 p.m. outside Los Amigos Restaurant at 1075 Portion Rd.

According to police, Arlington Guzman-Mejia stabbed the man following an altercation. Sixth Precinct police officers based in Selden responded and arrested Guzman-Mejia at the scene. Guzman-Mejia, 38, lives at 4 Jeanne Ave., Port Jefferson Station, according to police.

The victim, also 38, lives in Port Jefferson, police said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Sixth Squad detectives charged Guzman-Mejia with Assault 1st Degree. He will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
