Gunshots fired at Holbrook house

HOLBROOK, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com) — A gunman fired shots at a house in Holbrook late Monday night.

The shooting happened on Hummel Avenue at approximately 9:50 p.m., a spokesperson for the Suffolk County Police Department told OnSachem News. Police did not identify the specific street address.

“A person fired shots and struck a car, fence and house,” the police spokesperson said about the Hummel Avenue shooting.

There were no injuries and no arrests, police added. No further information was released.

Fifth Squad detectives based on Waverly Avenue in Patchogue are investigating. Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
