Join Piccirillo’s 2nd annual 'Valentines for Veterans' card drive

HOLBROOK, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com) — The community can make this Valentine’s Day extra special for veterans and those currently serving in the military. Suffolk County Legislator Anthony Piccirillo (R-Holbrook) of the 8th District is holding his 2nd Annual Valentines for Veterans Card Drive.

“Every year the 8th Legislative District comes together and collects handmade Valentine’s Day Cards for veterans and active-duty military personnel,” Piccirillo said. “My staff and I would like to continue the tradition for the second year in a row, and give back to our local heroes.”

Piccirillo, who serves on the legislature's Veterans & Consumer Affairs Committee, added, “We are working with multiple local veterans’ organizations to ensure these cards will be delivered to veterans within our community.”

Cards will be accepted until Friday, Feb. 10, at Piccirillo’s district office located at 1609 Grundy Ave. in Holbrook. For questions, email Anthony.Piccirillo@suffolkcountyNY.gov.
