Gas Station Robbery

HOLTSVILLE, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com) — A gas station has been robbed in Holtsville, police said.

Suffolk County Police confirmed for OnSachem that a gas station was robbed early this morning.

According to police, the robbery happened at BP located at 150 Morris Ave., which is at the intersection of the Long Island Expressway's Express Drive North. It is just west of Nicolls Road (County Route 97).

The robbery occurred at about 1:25 a.m., Sunday, Jan 12, police said. 

According to police, a man displayed a knife and demanded cash from an employee, pried open the register, and stole the cash drawer. 

The man fled the store and no one was injured, police said. 

Police added there has not yet been an arrest and the investigation is ongoing.
