LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Santa Claus was in the perfect setting for the annual Christmas Celebration in Lake Ronkonkoma as the rain changed to snow just in time for his arrival.
The Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce held the Christmas Celebration Sunday, Dec. 1, amid the winter storm that had rain, sleet, mixed precipitation, and snow. The storm turned to all snow briefly—just in time to provide Santa with a white-covered ground to welcome his arrival by a Ronkonkoma Fire Department fire truck at Raynor Beach County Park.
Shawn Hyms of Lake Ronkonkoma captured the sights and sounds for OnSachem.
