Police Cancel Silver Alert for Farmingville Teen

FARMINGVILLE, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com— Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives have canceled the Silver Alert for a missing Farmingville teen.

Police issued the alert at 9:11 a.m. today, Sunday, Jan. 5, to seek the public's assistance in locating the missing teen. 

At 1:48 p.m., police reported that the teen has returned home. The Silver Alert is canceled. 

The Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
