Sachem Board of Ed Recognizes Outstanding Fall Athletes

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com) — They made outstanding athletic achievements during the fall sports season, bringing pride to the Sachem Central School District.

At the most recent meeting Board of Education at Samoset Middle School in Lake Ronkonkoma, board members recognized the athletes and teams for their tremendous accomplishments.

To begin the recognition event, Director of Health and Physical Education, Health Services and Athletics Gary Beutel honored the Sachem High School East girls’ field hockey team for winning the Suffolk County and Long Island championships.

Sachem High School East girls’ field hockey team was honored at a recent Board of Education meeting for winning the Suffolk County and Long Island championship. 

Next, the Sachem High School North boys’ volleyball team was honored for completing their season undefeated, winning the Suffolk County and Long Island championships and being New York State finalists.

Concluding the recognitions, individual athletes were honored for their accolades that included All-Academic, All-County, All-Long Island and All-State selections.
