Sachem students remember soldiers and their sacrifices

In observance of Veterans Day, students across grade levels at Lynwood Avenue Elementary School in Farmingville dressed in red, white and blue as they placed American flags in front of the school building.

FARMINGVILLE, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com) — Students at Lynwood Avenue Elementary School in Farmingville honored veterans in a bold way by proudly wearing colors to represent Old Glory.

In observance of Veterans Day, students across grade levels at Lynwood dressed in red, white and blue as they placed American flags in front of the school building as a show of support and remembrance for veterans of the United States military.

The students also ensured safety amid the pandemic as they as they wore face coverings.

Across the Sachem Central School District, students participated in activities learning about veterans and remembering their sacrifices for the United States.
