Ten more COVID-19 daily infections for Sachem Schools

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY (OnSachem.com / OnTownMedia.com) — Sachem Central School District had 10 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, Jan. 12, according to the latest data New York state and school officials released Wednesday, Jan. 13.

The latest infections brought the cumulative number of positives to 429 across Sachem Schools since the academic year started in September. The most cases this school year were reported for Sachem High School North in Lake Ronkonkoma.

COVID-19 Cases for Each School

Here is the latest data from the state and school district as of Tuesday, Jan. 12, which was released on Wednesday, Jan. 13:

Sachem Elementary Schools 

• Cayuga Elementary School in Lake Grove – 11 cases, up 0 (8 students, 3 teachers/staff)

• Chippewa Elementary School in Holtsville – 14 cases, up 0 (11 students, 3 teachers/staff)

• Grundy Avenue Elementary School in Holbrook – 17 cases, up 1 (15 students, 2 teachers/staff)

• Hiawatha Elementary School in Lake Ronkonkoma – 21 cases, up 1 (16 students, 5 teachers/staff)

• Lynwood Avenue Elementary School in Farmingville – 12 cases, up 0 (9 students, 3 teachers/staff)

• Merrimac Elementary School in Holbrook – 11 cases, up 0 (10 students, 1 teacher/staff)

• Nokomis Elementary School in Holbrook – 21 cases, up 0 (13 students, 8 teachers/staff)

• Tamarac Elementary School in Holtsville – 17 cases, up 0 (12 students, 5 teachers/staff)

• Waverly Avenue Elementary School in Holtsville – 16 cases, up 0 (12 students, 4 teachers/staff)

• Wenonah Elementary School in Lake Grove – 16 cases, up 1 (9 students, 7 teachers/staff)

Sachem Middle Schools

• Sagamore Middle School in Holtsville – 27 cases, up 0 (16 students including 4 off-site students, 11 teachers/staff)

• Samoset Middle School in Lake Ronkonkoma – 23 cases, up 2 (15 students including 1 off-site student, 8 teachers/staff)

• Seneca Middle School in Holbrook – 37 cases, up 2 (27 students including 4 off-site students, 10 teachers/staff)

Sachem High Schools

• Sachem High School East in Farmingville – 80 cases, up 2 (69 students including 3 off-site students, 11 teachers/staff)

• Sachem High School North in Lake Ronkonkoma – 106 cases, up 1 (90 students including 14 off-site students, 16 teachers/staff)
