SHREVEPORT, La. - A major winter storm is moving into the ArkLaTex as of Sunday evening.  A heavy combination of freezing rain, sleet and snow is expected for tonight through Monday morning.  Also, bitterly cold temperatures will be with us for much of this coming week.  Here's the latest.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — Get ready for another dig out. Greater Sachem and all of Long Island are about to get a big dumping of snow on Super Bowl Sunday. Locally, Farmingville and Holbrook could see the most snow with up to eight inches. And maybe, just maybe, the lingering effects of the intensifying Sunday storm could mean a delayed opening or snow day for the kids come Monday. Earlier this week, Sachem Central School District was closed for snow days on Monday and Tuesday.

HOLBROOK, NY — To the disappointment of Sachem kids, the timing of the next snowstorm won’t mean a snow day. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch from late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon. OnSachem News has snow projections for Centereach, Farmingville, Holbrook, Holtsville, Lake Grove, Lake Ronkonkoma, Nesconset, and Ronkonkoma.
